If you have an account in BPI Philippines, it's quite common that you always feel the need to check your bank account balance on a daily basis.

In most cases, this is the case if you have a business, expect remittance, waiting for your salary (yey! sweldo!), waiting for commissions, or just want to make sure that you have an eye on your money!

Even I am conscious and always feel the need that I check my account to make sure my money is still there.

Well, luckily, BPI has several ways for you to check your account. Check them out below.

BPI ATM Machine

By far, this is the most common way to check your balance. Use your BPI ATM Debit card to do a balance inquiry at an ATM machine.

If you go and check in a BPI ATM machine, it's usually free. Though if you check ATMs on other banks, expect some fees. It's usually below 10 pesos for balance inquiry.

BPI Branch

In some cases, you may need to check your balance or you need some record of some sort. You can check also do your BPI balance inquire on a nearby BPI branch.

Be sure to present your card, passbook, or other bank documents. If you want to check but don't have your BPI card or bank papers – be you know your Account Number and you have some Government IDs.

BPI Express Online Banking

It's advisable that you enroll in BPI Express Online Banking, as this can facilitate a lot of common bank transactions that you need to do online.

The easiest way to set this up is to proceed to the nearest branch of BPI. Go to their customer service teller and say you need to register your account for BPI Express Online.

Be sure to have your account number, ATM, and smartphone. Also, be sure you have a unique username and password – since this will also be used on mobile.

As soon as you get registered to BPI Express Online banking, seeing your account balance would be very quick, simple, and convenient.

On a computer, all you need to do is log in to BPI Express online account using your credentials. Always check that the page your login on is secure. Usually, this is a 'green padlock' sign on the URL address.

For security, do not check your online account on public computers. It is wise that you only check online accounts in a gadget that you own. If you have a smartphone, you can likewise check using Google Chrome app. Again be sure there's a 'padlock sign' on the address bar. In most cases, if you type 'bpiexpressonline' in Google, the search engine will ensure that you're on the right website.

As soon as you've registered, go on and log in. You can now see your account.

BPI Mobile Banking App

This is the safer, faster, and most convenient way to have a BPI balance inquiry. After you registered for BPI Express Online, download the new BPI Mobile Banking App.

Since this is the first time to sign in with your gadget, after you log in with your BPI Express Online username and password, you may need to set-up the app for the first time. In most cases, it will ask for OTP or One Time Password.

It will send a code to your registered mobile number. You need to enter this OTP in the app. Don't worry, you only need to do this one time and you can log in easily next time on the BPI app.

For me, the BPI Mobile Banking App is a safer way to check a balance inquiry. There are also other features on the app like money transfer (BPI and other banks), loading the prepaid card, pay bills, load phone, and load e-wallet.

All the phone numbers and contact information of BPI Philippines is also inside the app.

As you can see, there's no need for you to regularly go to the ATM machine and BPI branch, just to do BPI Balance Inquiry or do any other transaction. It can now be done through online banking.

More so, for more safety and convenience, by using your everyday smartphone you can easily access your bank account.

As always, do not access your account on another person's phone or gadget. Also, never tell anyone your BPI username and password.
